Unbundling The Plant-Dyed Dress

It's the moment of truth, folks. This mysteriously dark bundle of silky merino fabric will be unbundled to reveal all kinds of unexpected results. I jet-sprayed it to remove the loose dark particles from the bath.

I remember how I had to bundle everything in a few minutes, obtaining help from a fellow workshop attendee because I had been fussing over the stitching and getting the arm scythes to shape. Different leaves and plant parts -- of what eucalyptus varieties I did not find out -- were literally slapped and shoved into any dress surface possible...

The outcome is just fascinating. 07.Mar.16 Unbundling the dyed dress 07.Mar.16 Unbundling the dyed dress 07.Mar.16 Unbundling the dyed dress 07.Mar.16 Unbundling the dyed dress

  1. That is just sooooo exciting Juanita. Can't believe it turned out so fab. Did you have to fix the dye afterwards?
