US Diary 17: Atlantic City

Atlantic City. Not sure what I feel about that place... Grand casinos, the beach and intense sun, and cheesy "family entertainment" -- all of which I am not interested. Heck, I'm just there for a change in scenery to an otherwise quiet Memorial Day weekend. And the American seafood.

P.S. Do people still collect Hard Rock Cafe shirts?

Photos taken on May 26, 2013, Sunday.

    1. Just not photographed. The crowds started appearing during lunch; that city starts late.

  3. I am not a gambler by any means so the two times I went to AC with gambling friends, I was pretty bored! The shops interested me, but were too expensive. The AC trip I am planning for this summer is more of a foodie trip--definitely more my speed! By the way your photos have completely encompassed the Jersey Shore feel. :)

    1. The shops ARE expensive, even considering their "outlet" status. We were so bored.

      Thanks!

  4. When I caught the bus from Philly there were loads of people going there - my friend told me it was all about the gambling!

    1. We were wondering why there were so many groups of youngsters (particularly single men).
