04 June 2012, Monday -- Yet another early morning flight; this was Travel Flight No. 5 for us, transporting the equipment and ourselves from the city of Kota Kinabalu to Sandakan.

Over at Sandakan, we were met by a Wildlife Warden from HUTAN. He was going to take us to a village in Sukau, a few hours away. We stopped by to have breakfast at a location I was too groggy to take note and remember. Save for the driver, being in the moving vehicle put us three instantly into a hypnotic sleep. It had been 9 long days and early mornings.

We woke up later to a stilt house in front of us, the Sukau Bed and Breakfast lodge. We were treated to two nights of authentic Sukau village experience, with the Kinabatangan river at the doorstep, kindly arranged by our host.

I was getting excited over the prospect of some wildlife sighting. But not so much the mosquitoes and insects.

Half past 10AM. It was time to get down to work at Sukau.

    1. Oh yes, the shower was very simple, and cold :D
The water was supplied from huge tanks outside the house which collected rain water.
