This small piece of thick, cotton fuzzy velvet fabric made me think, 'What could have this piece been used for?' My guess is something theatre-related. A costume, maybe?

The piece was made smaller because that sticky part had to go, as well as trimming down the curvy sides... But I still had enough for a big bag, sewn in a continuous piece (that is, no seam at the base of the bag).

The long adjustable strap was made from the dark chocolate brown velvet, so it is a soft and cushy shoulder strap. Zipper is black with large plastic teeth, which camouflages well with the stripes.

I was really excited to see the stripes matching up so well at the seams! https://www.etsy.com/listing/107394093/life-is-a-stage-large-velvet-fold-top

To offer customers more views, better close-ups, and a little insight as to how the item was personally hand-made, this is a 'Behind the Scene' blog post :) I hope you enjoyed it!
