Keeping an Eye Closed for Conjunctivitis

Ulcers and Pus.
(A real photograph would have been worse.)
  1. Yes, it hurts.
  2. Yes, I have to keep the rotten eye closed.
  3. Yes, it is infectious.
  4. Yes, I have antibiotics cream and eyedrops.
  5. Yes, it is difficult to do your daily chores with just 1 eye.
  6. I believe it is from wearing contact lenses.
See you all, with two eyes, next week. Hopefully.

  1. Oh noooooo! I hope it goes away soon.

Be thankful it's not a corneal ulcer. I got one TWICE from contacts and it is the most painful thing I've ever experienced.

On the bright side, you can now be a one-eyed pirate. Arrrrr! ;-)

  9. Oh my dear, that hurts.
Take enough rest and let Fluffy and your husband spoil you a bit.
Be careful with only one eye to go outside ... I fell and had to go to hospital to sew my lip ... so don't make it any worser.
Take car ! Hasn't the postman arrived to chear you up ?

  12. Uck, I'm sorry, that looks terrible!

Have you considered laser eye surgery? Matt got it done and it was the best money he ever spent.. no more contacts and no more hassle! His eyes are better than mine now!

Let me know if you want more info, the first appointment to see if you are a good candidate for the surgery is free.

  18. Poor Juanita! I also had this from contacts once - contacts are not that harmless as we think after all. I hope you are now feeling better! I know it is hard to be sick and not fully 'operational'! Big hug for you

  19. Pink eye is an infection or inflammation of the conjunctiva mostly because of some form of allergic reaction or infection. Bacterial and viral pinkeye are
exceedingly transmittable. Allergic and chemical pink eye are non-contagious. There are many symptoms which include reddish eyes, eye lid inflammation,
blurry eye sight, watery eye emission, eyelids get matted. For more details refer conjunctivitis
    symptoms
