Sister's Visit: Day 7: Mt. Titlis + Luzern

This is a little recap of my sister's visit from a couple of months ago. She spent 11 days in Zürich, in 2 separate weeks. Day 7 = June 12 2009.

It was a long day out! From Zürich to Luzern, then Luzern to Engelberg, finally from Engelberg up to Mount Titlis. (See 2nd picture.) Having visited Jungfraujoch twice, and Pilatus last year, Mount Titlis is a nearby (relative to Zürich, anyway) snow-capped mountain I would recommend to any visitor who wants a simple, no-fuss quick visit to a Swiss mountain.

After all that riding in trains --and adrenalin-rush from cable-car rides-- throughout the day, we were dead-beat by late afternoon. So, a brief walk along the Chapel Bridge of Luzern it was.
That's one more 'Been there, done that' checked off the list!

  1. Two great places to visit! I love Luzern, the pretty bridges and old town... Still have to go back to explore the rest of the town. I'm totally with you on the clammy hands at the cable car station!! It's worth it though, so pretty.
